Working together is grounded in respect, collaboration, and care. My approach is relational and client-centred, with attention to your unique context, experiences, and goals.

The information below outlines important aspects of how I work, including confidentiality, virtual services, and practice policies. Please take a few minutes to review this before booking.

Client Information and Policies

  • Your privacy is important and respected in all aspects of this practice. Personal information is collected, used, and protected in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable Ontario privacy laws.

Information shared in our work together is kept confidential and handled in accordance with professional and ethical standards.

  • There are specific situations where I may be required to share information without your consent. These include:

    • If there is a risk of serious harm to yourself or another person

    • If there are concerns about a child in need of protection

    • If records are required by law, such as through a court order

If any of these situations arise, I will make every effort to discuss this with you whenever possible.

  • Sessions are offered virtually using a secure platform.

While steps are taken to protect your privacy, there are inherent risks with electronic communication. It is your responsibility to ensure you are in a private space and using a secure internet connection during sessions.

For more information about how your personal information is collected, used and protected, please see the Privacy Policy.

  • I am committed to providing accessible and inclusive services. If you require accommodations related to communication, technology, scheduling, written materials, or participation in services, please let me know. We can discuss options to support your access to care.

  • I may use Jane’s AI-assisted documentation tool to support clinical note-taking and reduce administrative documentation.

Consent for the use of AI-assisted documentation is obtained as part of the intake and informed consent process and may be withdrawn at any time.

Audio is processed securely through Jane, a Canadian-based, PHIPA-compliant platform, and recordings are securely deleted once documentation has been completed.

All documentation is reviewed, edited, and finalized by me as part of the clinical record.

  • The fee for a 50-minute session is $165.

I understand that life happens and unexpected situations can come up. If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice (I appreciate as much notice as possible) so that the appointment time can be offered to someone else.

Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, as well as missed sessions, will be charged the full session fee.

  • Email may be used for scheduling and administrative purposes. It is not a secure method for sharing personal or sensitive information.

  • I welcome referrals to this practice and appreciate being trusted within the community.

To protect privacy and maintain clear therapeutic boundaries, if you’re referring someone, please share my practice information without discussing our connection or your relationship with me.

In addition, I will not use social media for clinical communication or accept friend or follow requests from current or former clients.

By booking a session, you acknowledge that you have reviewed this information.
